AX2523-B200 is a digital servo amplifier axis module. It is a product of Beckhoff Automation. Range of DC voltages on the bus link is 160 to 560 Volts. The rated rms current at 8 kHz is 3 Amps. The peak rms current at 8 kHz is 9 Amps. Clock frequency of the amplifier output stage can be configured from 8 to 16 kHz and the default configuration is 8 kHz. The minimum load inductance is 12 millihenry. The maximum load inductance is 75 millihenry. Form factor of the output current is 1.10. The bandwidth of the subordinate current controller is greater than 1.2 kHz. The residual voltage drop at rated output current is less than 5 Volts. Quiescent dissipation of the amplifier’s output stage is 12 Watts and the heat dissipation at rated current (without regen) is 30 Watts.
The amplifier weighs 1.7 kilograms. It dimensions are 230 x 50 x 240 millimeters. The analog input on the unit has a 14-bit resolution with ±10 Volts maximum common-mode voltage. For the digital control inputs, the low level voltage range is 0 to 7 Volts and the high level voltage range is 12 to 36 Volts. Ambient conditions for operation include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. Protection rating of the amplifier enclosure is IP20. The normal mounting position is vertical. The AX2523-B200 amplifier cools via natural convection. Maximum length of the motor cable is 25 meters. The cross-section of motor cable is 1 mm2 and the cable should be shielded. Configuration options include RS-232 serial interface, and keypad/LCD display combination on the amplifier itself. Qualified personnel should operate the amplifier.
