The motor AS1060-0000 belong to the AS1000 family which is a rather powerful stepper motor with a holding torque of five Nm. It is relatively compact and has an internal shaft of diameter 30 mm, an external flange, NEMA34 (86 mm) and shaft length of 96.5 mm. The additional features – in fact, the general orientation of the device is about giving its dimensions body width of 73 mm, the height 14 mm and a depth of 33 mm. That is, such dimensions could comfortably embed the motor in applications with restrictive dimensions.
The mounting pitch is 85.5 mm and shaft tip length is 24 mm. The device works with an optional incremental encoder for 1024 increments and it needs a 24 v DC supply for the encoder. The AS1060 is a Compact Motor with a Flange for Fixing B5, V1 or V3, Types of Installation (IM). That is IM B5, IM V1 and IM V3 limit attachment to only horizontal and top vertical orientations of the motor. However extra care should be observed when installing positions IM V1 and I M V3 as liquid ingress into the motor may occur and this will damage the motor.
The motor has been constructed to support loads resulting from the radial pinion belt or toothed belts lawfully and requirements imposed by external scholarly axial loads that occur when lava or pinion such as shaft mounting are done on the motor. For angle coupling with no backlash, a double coned collet or a metal bellows coupling is preferred. The flange dimensions are consistent with ISO requirements J7 as detailed in DIN 6885, with a greater accuracy standard per DIN43672.
