Product Description
The AS1020-0000 is yet another example of a tiny motor with a high level of precision motor where axes motion control is critical. It works in the supplied voltage range of 24–48 V DC and has a holding torque equal to 0.50 Nm with a rated current of 1 A which implies that low power positioning applications with high accuracy are possible. Each full step of the motor corresponds to 1.8° which in total provides 200 steps so that it can work accurately in varied cases.
It is connected over M12 cable bundle and can be operated in ambient temperature of 0…+40°C. The motor is compliant to CE regulations and has an IP20 enclosure class. Key dimensions are: o: 24 mm, r: 42 mm (NEMA17 flange size), a: 22 mm, b: 5 mm, d: 24 mm, k: 48 mm. In this case it is strictly necessary to apply collets or couplings free of backlash that are capable to self-lock in order to avoid loss of alignment.
Any such axial misalignment is associated with creation of excessive vibrations which is a cause of damage to the ball bearings and couplings. In applications where toothed belts are used there are restrictions in the use of radial forces to acceptable values since there are limits to the radial forces that can be employed without greatly reducing the life of the motor. Likewise, shrink the exerted axial loads on the consecutive shaft of the motor since these will impact on the lifespan of the motor and the performance of any incorporated brakes.
