The AM8553-0G20-0000 is a permanent magnet energized high torque three phase synchronous motor for industrial purpose which guarantees good and steady outcomes in its operations. This equipment works at a standard voltage range of up to 100V-480 VAC for providing a standstill torque of about 11.4 Nm rated torque of 10.0 Nm. This motor operates delivering a power output of 2.09 kW at a peak torque of 52.5 Nm and rated speed of 2000min−1. This motor has a standstill current on 4.70 A and support peak current level of 26.9 A at a torque constant of 2.42 Nm/A. The rotor moment of inertia is 12.4 kgcm2 which acts on the motor in demanding tasks improving stability and response.

Position encoders such as resolvers and single and multi-turn absolute encoders are mounted on the motor casing for actual position feedback and this enables a seamless interaction with very complex automation systems. The motor operates in a surrounding temperature of +5 to + 40 degrees Celsius due to convection cooling method. The M23 speedtec® plug connection ensures safe and dependable electrical connections in industrial usage.

Safety precautions are taken when using and during maintenance of the motor. Servomotors of the AM8100 family, including but not limited to AM8553-0G20-0000, do not offer stand-alone operation and should always be installed in a machine system AM8553-0G20-00000. In the case of installation, additional documentation and safety instructions from a machine manufacturer must be regarded and carried out. In using this motor, there are severe hazardous conditions owing to high voltage supplied. The servomotor should never be powered when it is opened because doing this will void all warranties and liability of Beckhoff Automation GmbH. Also, it is critical to check that the protective conductor is connected as intended for electrical safety.
