The AM8551-0G20-0000 is a three-phase synchronous motor, permanent magnet excited type which has a very high output for industrial applications where the operational torque is constant and dependable. The nominal voltage of the motor operates in the range of 100 to 480 volts AC. It can provide a standstill torque of 4.90 Nm and can apply a rated torque of 4.40 Nm. The highest value of torque the motor will reach is 17.2 Nm and operates at a rated speed of 5000 min⁻¹ generating a power output of 2.30 kW. The motor current in still condition reaches 4.75 A and allows for the operation of peak currents of 20.9 A. This motor has torque constant (Kt) of 1.03 Nm/A.

Feedback options such as dual resolver integrated within motor and Single turn absolute encoder OCT 18 Bit integrated within the motor are also equipped the motor. These feedback systems make it easier to track motion which in turn increases the ability of the motor’s system to interface with advanced automation systems.

In view of correct storage of the motor, it complies with climate category 2K3 according to EN 60721 and it has a storage temperature of -25°C to +70°C with a temperature rise change of 20 K/h. The air relative humidity should be within non-condensing conditions 5 up to 95 % r.h mobile to mobile. The motor only should be stored in its original recyclable packaging supplied by the manufacturer and there should not be any limitation to the storage time. Staff not qualified to do maintenance and cleaning should not undertake these activities. The motor ball bearings undergo a grease filling that works for a total of 30,000 hours of normal conditions working.
