The AM8122-0F21-0000 is a permanent magnet excited three-phase synchronous motor famed for its precision in rigorous industrial setting. It has a stylized nominal operating voltage of 24 – 48 V DC and produces both self-starting and rated torque of 0.80 Nm with a maximal torque of 4.06 Nm. The motor is rated at a maximum speed of 2000 min ⁻ ¹ and gives a power rating of 0.17 kW. It also has a torque constant of 0.20 Nm/A and a rotor moment of inertia of 0.253 kgcm² suitable for applications where quick start up and effective torque handling are paramount.
The motor also comes with high-level feedback devices including a resolver and a single-turn absolute encoder which provides position feedback minimizing the risk of motor performance degradation. The motor is actively cooled by convection and allows operation within the temperature range of +5 to +40 while retaining good performance. The motor is integrated with Itec® plug connection technology allowing easy and safe usage of the equipment.
There are a number of alternatives that are focused on improving the motor’s operation. It is possible to fit an integrated holding brake which makes the motor longer and the rotor moment of inertia higher. This brake is effective in holding position when the motor is switched off. Also, an FKM radial shaft sealing ring can be fitted for splash water containment which enhances the IP rating of the shaft feed-through protection to IP65 making the motor even more effective in harsh environments. Also, the motor can be equipped with a different feedback device instead of the standard resolver, OCT (One Cable Technology), which allows the motor to provide better feedback while decreasing the number of wires as power and feedback are sent through one cable. This motor is designed for the precise applications where the accuracy, reliability and versatility are of utmost importance.
