Product Description
The AM8121-1F20-1001 is small, low voltage servomotor, which has a strong focus on efficient and dynamic industrial uses. This can operate on less than 50V DC and still maintains a standstill torque of up to 1.5 N m at a rated speed of 3000 min-1. Such specifications are required where high precision and high efficiency are mandatory. The unit also features a 19-bit absolute encoder with the OCT (One Cable Technology) allowing power and feedback from the encoder to be sent through a single conductor. This technology does not only simplify wiring of models but also increases reliability of monitoring systems. A motor has a flange code F2 (58 mm) and diameter of shaft 9 k6 20 mm pig tail free end of the shaft, which implies good mechanical integration.
As per the specification sheet, the motor can be used at an ambient temperature of +5 to +40°C where the site altitude does not exceed 1000 m above sea level. Operation is possible in defined power derating above certain altitudes or temperatures. This would also suggest that it is applicable in an environment having relative humidity of up to 90% (non-condensing). They are estimated to have a minimum operational life span of 30,000 operating hours for the ball bearings.
The shaft end, A-side, uses friction-locked clutches or cylindrical shafts to eliminate backlash in terms of the drive connection and also makes provision for a form-locking connection via a feather key groove according to DIN 6885. If the motor is driven through pinions or toothed belts and subject to large radial or directional force this page recommends consulting the technical data or the online calculation tools of Beckhoff to ensure that the urges are within the allowable range.
