Product Description

AM8043-0E21-0000 is a synchronous servomotor. It is designed and manufactured by Beckhoff Automation. A name plate attached to the unit lists important information and specifications which can be used to easily identify and verify the motor. AM8000 series motors from Beckhoff require three-phase AC input. These synchronous motors are designed to avoid a direct electrical contact between the rotor and stator for high reliability. High-quality permanent magnets enable precise motor positioning. The three-phase stator winding reduces material requirements which maintaining power output. Electronic commutation reduces maintenance requirements and improves performance and safety. Integrated winding temperature monitoring prevents overload and overheating. The temperature warning threshold is 120 degrees Celsius, and the motor is switched off at 140 degrees Celsius winding temperature. A holding brake is installed on the motor.

This is a permanent magnet brake that operates according to the quiescent current principle and requires 24 Volts DC to open and release the motor shaft. Beckhoff has not designed the brake for service braking. Standstill torque and current rating of the AM8043-0E21-0000 motor are 5.65 Nm and 2.9 Amps. The maximum speed is 9000 RPM. Rated speed at 400 Volts AC is 2500 RPM. Beckhoff has designed the motor to support a wide AC input range. Performance specifications for 480 Volts AC input include 1.55 kilowatts power output, 5.4 Nm torque output and 2800 RPM speed. Performance specifications for 400 Volts AC input include 1.39 kilowatts power output, 5.3 Nm torque output and 2500 RPM speed. Performance specifications for 230 Volts AC input include 0.7 kilowatts power output, 5.5 Nm torque output and 2200 RPM speed.
