Product Description
Beckhoff International’s AM8033-2E10-0000 is a highly-dynamic brushless servomotor that belongs under the famous AM8 motor series line. Equipped with a highly responsive blocking brake and a precise motor feedback system, this machine serves as a powerful control motor for halting and driving loads at a variety of applications. Specifically, the AM8033-2E10-0000 has a single-turn absolute encoder that uses Beckhoff’s one-cable technology (OCT). The accuracy of the encoder is around 120 angular seconds, or about 0.03 degrees. The machine’s holding brake can halt movement of the rotor at a maximum torque of 3.5 Nm. To achieve nameplate parameters, the AM8033-2E10-0000 must be connected to a 400 VAC supply.
At the nominal supply voltage, the AM8033-2E10-0000 easily sustains a continuous rotor speed of 3000 rev/m, a shaft output power of 940 watts, and a drive torque value of 2.98 Nm. Since the machine’s holding brake can halt a maximum torque of 3.5 Nm, the holding brake may safely be used at nominal working conditions. For AC machines, particularly motors, the blocking brake must not exceed its rated holding torque. For AM8 motors, when an attempt is made to stop rotor movement with a higher torque rating, fault error code 7 may be generated.
Aside from its blocking brake and feedback system, the AM8033-2E10-0000 also integrates an LPTC-600 thermal sensor for monitoring the winding temperature during operation. Whenever the internal winding reaches 120 Celsius, a specific warning message is generated. Beyond 140 degrees Celsius, the machine abruptly turns off. The AM8033-2E10-0000’s drive incorporates a shaft sealing ring along with a groove and a feather key. With the presence of a shaft seal, the drive side has a relatively higher protection grade of IP 65.
