Product Description
Beckhoff International's AM8033-1E20-0000 is an effective synchronous brushless motor that offers a precise feedback system along with an impressive groove and feather key on its output shaft. The AM8033-1E20-0000 belongs under Beckhoff’s AM motor series line, boasting a nominal speed of 3000 rpm at a supply voltage of 400 VAC. During energy conversion, the machine’s shaft syncs with the generated magnetic field. The synchronous speed of motors depends on the system’s frequency and the machine’s number of poles. By varying the system frequency, the synchronous speed changes. The number of poles for every motor is constant. The AM8033-1E20-0000, in particular, has eight poles, or four pole pairs.
At the rated or nameplate speed, the AM8033-1E20-0000 achieves a torque and power of 2.98 Nm and 940 watts, respectively. At this operating point, the root-mean square current flowing through the machine’s windings reaches two amperes. At most, the AM8033-1E20-0000 can withstand a maximum current of 12.9 amperes for a short time. On the other hand, the AM8033-1E20-0000’s standstill current, which is usually what’s observed during starting conditions, reaches 2.1 amperes. When high torque is preferable, the machine’s operating point may be adjusted to sustain a peak torque of 17.19 Nm.
The AM8033-1E20-0000 integrates a unique one-cable multi-turn absolute encoder. This encoder can work with other devices and control units to monitor, encode, and analyze AC motor parameters during continuous periods of operation. The AM8033-1E20-0000’s output shaft comes with a groove and feather key, allowing optimal power transfer and relative sliding between the load and the drive. Since the shaft does not come with a radial sealing, the shaft side only has a protection rating of IP 54.
