Product Description
Integrated with a built-in holding brake, the AM8033-0F21-0000 is a great AM motor by Beckhoff that exhibits relatively high-speed and torque capabilities. The AM motor family by Beckhoff consists of three-phase synchronous motors, featuring brushless construction and a permanent magnet inside the rotor. AM motors achieve quick thermal stabilization and work at a wide speed and operating range. The voltage supply range for most AM motors is from 100 to 480 V. Depending on the frame class, AM motors can have different peak values for speed, current, and torque. Aside from these characteristics, AM motors also come with an accurate feedback system.
The AM8033-0F21-0000. has a nominal working speed of 6000 rev/m at a voltage supply of 400 V. When this terminal supply is reduced to 230 V, the machine’s speed changes to 3000 rpm. When the sustained speed of the motor is 6000 rpm, the usual RMS current is 3.6 amperes. The output power and torque of the shaft at this RMS current are 1.7 kW and 2.7 Nm, respectively. The AM8033-0F21-0000 features a type-2 feedback system, incorporating a multi-turn OCT encoder. The AM8033-0F21-0000 comes with a standard brake that requires a nominal voltage of 24 VDC.
During operation, the holding brake can only halt the rotor when the torque is below 3.5 Nm. The operating temperature of the holding brake can reach as high as 120 degrees Celsius. The motor itself, however, can operate only between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius. During transport and storage, the machine can withstand an ambient range between 70 and -25 Celsius. Using natural convection to facilitate cooling, the AM8033-0F21-0000 has a thermal time constant of 28 mins.
