AM8031-3D21-0000 is a servo motor with 6000 RPM speed rating. It is part of AM8000 product line from Beckhoff. The manufacturer has designed the motor with a lot of flexibility for industrial applications. Operators can operate over a range of AC input from 115 to 480 Volts AC. At 480 Volts nominal input, the motor’s nominal speed is 6800 RPM, its nominal torque is 1.32 Nm and the nominal output power is 0.94 kilowatts. At 400 Volts AC nominal input, the motor’s nominal speed is 6000 RPM, its nominal torque is 1.33 Nm and the nominal output power is 0.84 kilowatts. At 230 Volts nominal input, the motor’s nominal speed is 3300 RPM, its nominal torque is 1.36 Nm and the nominal output power is 0.47 kilowatts.

At 115 Volts nominal input, the motor’s nominal speed is 1400 RPM, its nominal torque is 1.38 Nm and the nominal output power is 0.2 kilowatts. Holding torque of the optional holding brake installed on the AM8031-3D21-0000 motor is 2 Nm. This brake requires 24 Volts DC supply voltage and its power consumption is 11 Watts. Current rating of the brake is 0.33 Amps. Release time delay and application delay time for the brake are 25 milliseconds and 8 milliseconds respectively. The housing is IP65 rated. It is coated with anthracite gray colored acrylic powder. The motor has 8 poles. Its thermal time constant is 24 minutes. Weight of the motor with brake is 2.2 kilograms. The motor surface can get very hot, and there is a risk of burns due to contact with the housing. Therefore, Beckhoff recommends allowing the motor to cooling sufficiently before working on it.
