AM8031-1D00-0000 is a Beckhoff servo motor. Its product line is AM8000. Only trained control and automation professionals should handle and operate the motor. Surfaces on the motor housing can exceed 60 degrees Celsius. The motor must be allowed to cool down before teams are allowed to work on it. Hard impacts to the shaft can destroy optical encoders and lead to a lowering of the permissible radial and axial loads. No work should be performed on the motor or motor cable when they are live. Staff should only work on the motor when the DC link voltage has dropped below 50 Volts. The name plate on the housing must be used to verify motor specifications at the time of delivery. The AM8031-1D00-0000 motor has a 72 millimeter flange for mounting.

The main shaft design includes a groove and feather key. The motor shaft is DIN 6885 compliant. A two-pole resolver provides feedback. The motor does not feature a holding brake.
