Product Description
The AM8031-1C10-0000 is a robust AM servo motor that comes with an accurate OCT single-turn feedback system. It is an original product of Beckhoff, boasting a 72-mm flange length and a shaft with feather key. The feather key is ideal for maximum torque transfer between the motor’s shaft and the load. The feather key also prevents slippage of the load, especially at higher working speeds. At the AM8031-1C10-0000’s nominal supply, the torque output of the shaft is 1.34 Nm. At this torque output, the machine delivers a nominal power of 0.42 kW, draws 0.95 amperes, and runs at 3000 revolutions per minute.
The torque and speed of AC motors have an inverse relationship. Hence, at lower speeds, the machine’s torque increases. On the other hand, when the motor reaches its maximum speed, the corresponding torque output of the motor is expected to be relatively low. Depending on the type of application, the AM8031-1C10-0000 may be operated to maximize either its torque or speed. Based on its documentation, the machine’s shaft can run at a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm or deliver a peak torque of 6.1 Nm. At maximum power transfer, the AM8031-1C10-0000 can sustain a peak current of 5.5 amperes for a short period of time.
To maintain safe operation and pristine condition of the motor, the installation, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning guidelines must be strictly followed. During continuous operation, the AM8031-1C10-0000 must not be operated beyond an ambient temperature of 40 degrees C and below 5 degrees C. When installing the motor vertically, regular maintenance and checks must be done to ensure no liquid leakage. Before decommissioning the motor, make sure that the motor has already achieved thermal equilibrium and it is already de-energized.
