Product Description
The AM8031-0F20-0000 is a magnificent synchronous motor that boasts a powerful OCT multi-turn encoder and iTec connection technology. It employs natural convection to facilitate cooling of the motor’s internal and surface temperature. When allowed to rest for about 2 hours, the motor is guaranteed to have reached thermal equilibrium with its surroundings. The AM8031-0F20-0000 incorporates a smooth shaft that allows several loads and gears to be connected with no special requirements. Without a 24 VDC holding/blocking brake, the AM8031-0F20-0000 maintains its original rotor moment of inertia of 0.47 kg (cm^2). Like other AM8031 motors, the AM8031-0F20-0000 also has four pole pairs, a static friction of 0.01 Nm, and a total weight of 1.8 kg. At standstill or stall mode, the shaft achieves a torque output of 1.4 Nm and an RMS current of 3.2 A. When allowed to reach its maximum speed, the shaft can drive loads at a sustained speed of 10,000 rpm. At any point in time, the maximum excitation or mains voltage must not exceed 480 V. At this maximum supply voltage, the AM8031-0F20-0000 has a nominal working speed of 9000 rpm and achieves the following shaft output: 1.3 Nm and 1.23 kW.
Based on its manual, the AM8031-0F20-0000 has a phase-phase winding conductance of 0.2 siemens and an inductance of 13.3 mH. The conductance of the winding is simply the reciprocal of the given resistance, and it describes the ability of a material to conduct electricity. For AC motors, the stator winding generates the moving magnetic field when current flows through its conductors. For synchronous machines, the moving magnetic field synchronizes with the moving rotor. The AM8031-0F20-0000 is a three-phase synchronous motor under Beckhoff’s AM product line.
