Product Description
The AM8031-0DB1-0000 is an outstanding permanent magnet-excited servomotor that demonstrates a high degree of reliability and accuracy during performance. Servomotors usually operate with servo controllers and encoders to control loads precisely. Some servomotors already come with built-in encoders, brakes, or even cooling fans. Beckhoff’s AM servomotor series line offers several motors that come with different features and components to suit a variety of applications. The AM8031-0DB1-0000 is just one of the many servomotors that you can get from Beckhoff’s AM motor series. It comes with a smooth shaft, an OCT 23-bit multi-turn encoder, and a standard blocking brake.
Compared with other servomotors under the AM series, the AM8031-0DB1-0000 offers a more accurate feedback system. Multi-turn encoders can monitor the number of revolutions that the rotor has completed after some reference period. With a 23-bit resolution, the AM8031-0DB1-0000’s feedback system achieves a system accuracy of 45 angular seconds. This system's accuracy is better than most feedback systems' accuracy of 120 angular seconds. During operation, the AM8031-0DB1-0000 achieves 63% of its steady-state temperature after 24 minutes. For every one ampere increase of the machine’s input, the corresponding output increase to the machine’s torque is 0.71 Nm.
When operated at its nameplate speed of 6000 rpm, the shaft transmits a consistent torque and power of 1.33 Nm and 0.84 kW. To prevent overheating and further losses, the AM8031-0DB1-0000 must operate in an ambient temperature range of 41 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The AM8031-0DB1-0000 also features a standard blocking brake that holds a maximum torque of 2 Nm and requires an excitation voltage of 24 VDC. With the blocking brake considered, the AM8031-0DB1-0000’s total mass is 4.85 pounds.
