Product Description
The AM8023-0F20-0000 is an efficient high-density synchronous motor that can meet the demands of high-speed servo systems. At its core, the AM8023-0F20-0000 houses a permanent neodymium magnet that allows the rotor to match the speed of the moving magnetic field even at high working speeds. With its smooth shaft, this machine functions well for driving several types of loads. For maximum performance and compatibility, it is recommended to use the AM8023-0F20-0000 along with other Beckhoff’s products such as drives, encoders, and controllers. The AM8023-0F20-0000 features a multi-turn feedback system that comes with a single cable, housing the conductors for both the power supply and the encoder.
During standstill mode of operation, the AM8023-0F20-0000 exhibits slightly higher torque and current than the nominal values. Particularly, the machine reaches a standstill torque value of 1.2 Nm at a standstill RMS current of 3.4 amperes. The root-mean square (RMS) current is the effective current value that the motor draws at standard conditions. Since the current for motors is sinusoidal in nature, the effective value of current is estimated using the RMS value. The AM8023-0F20-0000 has a phase-to-phase resistance and inductance of 3.6 ohms and 8.7 mH, respectively. The effective winding resistance and inductance values are measured at 20 degrees Celsius and at a frequency of 1 kHz.
The AM8023-0F20-0000 operates between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius and at a range of 100 to 480 volts. As the excitation voltage increases, the AM8023-0F20-0000 achieves higher working speeds. At the maximum permissible excitation voltage, 480 V, the motor runs at 9000 rpm and outputs 850 watts and 0.9 Nm. For lower excitation voltages, the AM8023-0F20-0000 achieves lower speeds. To achieve thermal equalization with the environment, the AM8023-0F20-0000 uses convection.
