The AM8023-0E10-0000 is a small-size three-phase motor that functions well for servo systems and applications. Commercialized under the AM motor series line, this servomotor has a wide speed and terminal supply range. The working speed of this motor can vary from 2000 to 9000 rpm, depending on the supply voltage. For lower values of supply voltage, the resulting working speed is small. At 115 V, the nominal speed of this machine reaches 2000 rpm. At the maximum terminal voltage of 480 V, the AM8023-0E10-0000 achieves a nominal speed of 9000 rpm. For other purposes, however, the AM8023-0E10-0000’s speed can go as high as 12,000 rpm.
The AM8023-0E10-0000 has a standstill current of 2.2 amperes and a stall torque of 1.2 Nm. During its operation, the AM8023-0E10-0000 facilitates natural cooling via convection. Since the AM8023-0E10-0000 is a relatively small motor, only measuring about 155.5 mm, it cools faster. Without a blocking brake included, the AM8023-0E10-0000 has a weight of 1.7 kilograms and a rotor moment of inertia of 0.38 kg (cm^2). Since the motor incorporates no sealing ring on its smooth shaft, the drive side only has a protection rating of IP 54. To maximize the AM8023-0E10-0000’s driving abilities, the ambient temperature during operation must be between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius. When the motor’s winding reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees Celsius, a switch-off mechanism automatically halts motor operation. With a thermal time constant of 16 minutes, it does not take long for the motor to achieve thermal equilibrium after continuous operation.
