Product Description
Derived from Beckhoff International’s powerful AM motor series line, the AM8022-0E20-0000 features robust loading and speed characteristics for microsystems. As micro or smaller systems require a higher level of precision, having a highly accurate servo motor as the main driver directly influences system efficiency. An inaccurate or poorly performing motor will not only affect system output but may also render damages to other components or parts of the system. For these types of applications, Beckhoff’s AM8 servo family is the real winner. The AM8022-0E20-0000 operates at different working speeds, depending on the supply terminal voltage. If a high driving speed is preferable, the terminal voltage may be adjusted to higher values, up to a maximum value of 480 V.
At a supply rating of 480 volts, the AM8022-0E20-0000 achieves a working speed of 9000 rpm. At 400 volts, the same working speed is achieved, with corresponding torque and power ratings of 0.65 Nm and 0.61 kW, respectively. For some countries where the nominal voltage is usually 230 volts, the AM8022-0E20-0000 achieves a working speed of 8000 rpm to transmit a torque of 0.7 Nm and a power of 0.6 kW. During nominal mode of operation, the ambient temperature must be kept between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius. The motor’s winding, however, may safely reach up to 120 degrees Celsius. When the motor operates beyond 120 degrees Celsius, the motor automatically isolates itself from the system via a switch-off process.
The AM8022-0E20-0000 incorporates a type-2 motor feedback system, a 58-mm flange, and a smooth output shaft. Since it incorporates no blocking brake and shaft sealing ring, the AM8022-0E20-0000 has a mass of 1.3 kilograms and a protection grade of IP54 on the shaft side.
