Product Description
The Beckhoff AM8021-0BH0-0000 is therefore a new highly improved model in the family of the AM Servo Motor Series that incorporates a permanent magnet-excited three-phase synchronous motor technology. This motor is designed for performance focusing on a rated torque of 0.50 Nm; the product reaches an impressive rating speed of 8000 RPM. It is widely used where accurate control and stability of speed and especially the torque is significant.
It is also very flexible in utilizing a nominal voltage of 100-480V AC making the AM8021-0BH0-0000 effective in most industrial applications. This motor gives a maximum of 2.68Nm in terms of peak torque to ensure that even when the going gets tough, the job will still get done. The maximum torque when the machine is stationary is 0.50 Nm and this guarantees stability especially in vocational where precision is of utmost importance.
The motor’s convection cooling system is efficient in thermal control and improves its operating performance without any extra cooling systems. This feature is especially valuable in cases when there is limited space or when it is impossible to implement, for example, an active heatsink. To ensure reliable link, the AM8021-0BH0-0000 comes with the Itec® plug connection technology, thus enabling easy interfacing with control systems. The motor also meets safety and performance standards and its certifications are CE and EAC that show compliance with appropriate quality and safety standards.
It is made efficient in the operation under varying loads due to its standstill current is 0.85 A, and the peak current is 4.90 A. The motor torque constant of the type 0.588 Nm/A shows that there is a good mapping of the input current to output torque, which makes it easy to control the performance of the motor. Also, the rotor moment of inertia of 0.139 kgcm² is relatively small, which is useful for the motor’s acceleration and deceleration which is desirable in dynamic applications. Housed within the motor is an EnDat 3 interface for feedback management and an OCT interface for position control with 19 bits of resolution for both single-turn and multi-turn absolute encoders.
