The Beckhoff AM8021-0B11-0000 is very carefully designed as one of the members of the AM Servo Motor Series. This type of motor is a permanent magnet-excited three-phase synchronous motor, with a nominal AC voltage range of 100 to 480 V, which is used in precision-motion applications. The electric motor provides a rated power output of 0.42 kW, and rotates at 8000 min-1, making it suitable for applications that require rapid operation in the industrial settings.
Its main characteristic is peak torque of 2.68 Nm, which provides high efficiency in the presence of increased loads. This is supported by the motor’s standstill torque of 0.50 Nm, which enables the motor to operate smoothly during time of no rotation. The AM8021-0B11-0000 does all this while incorporating convection thermal management that is a passive mode of cooling but which increases system reliability through avoiding the use of flammable and complex active cooling systems.
