The Beckhoff AM8012-0C21-0000 is a permanent magnet excited, three phase, synchronous motor perfectly designed and built to deliver top notch performance across its line of applications in automation. Being a member of Beckhoff’s well-known AM Servo Motor Series, this motor is used in industries that demand accuracy and durability when operated in a 100 to 230 V AC nominal voltage environment. At the stall we have 0.38 Nm while the peak power is 1.37 Nm showing that the AM8012-0C21-0000 provides consistent power for dynamic operations. With a rated speed of 8000 min⁻¹ and rated power of 0.28 kW, it is suitable for high-speed operation, suitable for various forms of motion control equipment.

The motor has convection cooling which is a maintenance-free cooling system that is particularly suitable where there is limited space or where external cooling cannot be easily arranged. This small rotor moment of inertia, 0.053 kgcm², makes it highly responsive and improves dynamics of the motor. Consequently, the motor comes fitted with feedback systems such as resolver, single-turn absolute encoder, and OCT (One Cable Technology) that provide high accuracy in positioning and control capability for various industries. Like other Flexloader motors, this motor also comes with itec® plug technology that allows easy installation and connection.

Having an operational temperature of +5…+40°C, and providing a standstill current of 1.30A and a peak current of 4.55A, this AM8012-0C21-0000 is designed for intensive work. It also has a torque constant of 0.292 Nm/A which also enhances stable and smooth motor operation.
