AM3052-1G01-0000 is a servo motor. It is designed and manufactured by Beckhoff Automation, a German supplier of high-quality industrial automation systems. The motor has a resolver that measures motor parameters and provides feedback to the servo drive. Real time feedback is an essential feature of closed loop control systems, and mandatory for systems with stringent requirements for accuracy and precision. An optional feature available on the motor is a holding brake. This is a safety device controller by the servo drive, and is designed to stop the motor from moving unnecessarily. The housing of the motor unit complies with IP54 requirements. The solid aluminum housing is covered with a protective coat for environmental protection.
