The Beckhoff AM3051-0G00 is a high-performance synchronous servo motor that is part of the AM Servo Motor Series for application in today’s sophisticated automation systems. The motor comes with a rated voltage of 480 V AC, but has a rated power output of only 1.37 kW, which means that it can cater mid range power requirements adequately. The motor is designed for 3-phase wiring, which means that there are no fluctuations in the supply voltage and hence it can run continually without experiencing supply voltage irregularities frequently found in single phase supply voltage.

This servo motor has a no load speed of 4800 RPM for fast engagement and optimum speed handling in cases where rapid movement or rotation is required. With a peak torque of 5.9N.m and stall torque of 2.16 N.m, the motor is able to control large load variations and maintain system stability and performance in applications where force both dynamic and static are critical. The AM3051-0G00 can sink 7.35 A of current and sustains a free load of 1.5 A. Furthermore, this motor runs to a maximum power of 2200 RPM, and it is designed with efficiency to distribute power in line with the speed/torque requirements that may be specified across the range of operations.

That has made the motor rather light for the level of power it delivers; the motor has a weight of 3.2 kg, making it easy to install and incorporate into a given system. Measuring only 100 x 80 mm in size the unit is unique in being able to provide high performance in environments where space is at a premium. Adding to that, its stator torque measures 320 mNm thus making it easy to operate without compromising on control.
