Product Description
AM227M-0001 is a high-performance AM227 series servo motor from Beckhoff. It is a DC brushless motor that requires 400/460 Volts DC input. Standstill torque of the motor is 0.32 Nm and the current at standstill is 0.8 Amps. Speed rating of the DC servo motor is 4000 RPM. The motor’s rated torque is 0.3 Nm. Its rated power output is 0.13 kilowatts. Current output of the DC servo motor is 0.75 Amps. The maximum current output is 3.5 Amps. Windings on the motor have a resistance of 31 Ohms. Inductance of the motor windings is 21 millihenry. The motor features an optional holding brake. This device provides added safety during motor operation. Its purpose is to hold the main shaft. The brake allows the motor shaft to move only after receiving a signal from the motor servo amplifier connected to the motor.
Holding torque of the brake is 1 Nm. Its electrical power rating is 8 Watts. The brake operates after receiving a 24 Volts signal. Its release delay range is 15 to 20 milliseconds. Application delay time for the brake is 5 to 10 milliseconds. Weight of this brake is 0.3 kilograms. The motor is equipped with a resolver, which is a sensor that provides position and speed feedback. A servo amplifier connected to the motor uses feedback to control motor speed and position. Operators must ensure proper earthing of the servo amplifier and the motor. They must also verify that the servo amplifier and motor are compatible. Separation between the power and control cables must not be less than 20 centimeters. The motor power cable must have an adequate cross section that enables it to carry the required current.
